How this calculation works

Concrete is priced per square foot installed: 1. Base rate by thickness: a 4-inch slab runs about $6 to $10 per square foot installed, a 5-inch $7 to $12, and a 6-inch $8 to $14 (thicker slabs use more material and rebar). 2. Finish: a decorative finish multiplies the cost. Colored is about 1.25x, exposed aggregate 1.3x, and stamped up to 1.6x a standard broom finish. 3. Removal: tearing out and hauling away old concrete adds roughly $2 to $6 per square foot. The result is a range because pricing varies by site access, subgrade prep, rebar, and region. Homeowner budgeting

600 sq ft, 5-inch driveway, standard finish.

Expect roughly $4,200 to $7,200 standard. A decorative finish or removing the old slab raises it.

Stamped patio

300 sq ft stamped patio.

Stamped runs about 1.6x standard. The look costs more but is far cheaper than pavers.
